KHAITE is inextricably linked to New York. Fall/Winter 2021 celebrates this enduring and ever-evolving relationship at a pivotal moment for the city. The collection comes to life in “KHAITE,” directed by Sean Baker. Shot on the streets of New York and within its subterranean corridors, the film collapses past and present to evoke a city defined by extremes—perilous yet alluring, raw yet resilient.
Channeling the energy and intrigue of New York, the collection revels in contrasting materials, juxtaposed proportions, and female strength. Tailored precision is haloed by faux fur. Fluid silhouettes are punctuated by apertures and limned with lace. The urban armor of puffer coats is reimagined in quilted leather and down-filled cashmere, their enveloping silhouettes paired with thigh-high boots and capacious totes.
